February 16, 2009: Johnny joined Inspire Guitars' team as their "exclusive 2009 calendar year artist" and is presented a new custom-built "Sonic" Shred series guitar.

August 1, 2009: Invited by friend and T-Bird vocalist Cindy Verrill, Johnny performs a couple of his songs during T-Birds show at Harris Pavilion in Manassas. The T-Birds are an awesome 50s, 60s, and Motown group from Northern Virginia. "You might not be ready for this yet, but your kids are going to love it," Johnny quoting Marty McFly.
